during the new year i always look back on the previous year with a thankful spirit. i am very thankful for the past twelve months, mostly for my wife and kids, but also for the places i was able to go see.
this past march i was offered to be on the road crew on a tanya tucker canadian tour. we went from brandon, manitoba all the way to prince george, britishcolombia. some notable places were

kelowna and kamloops. really, britishcolombia and alberta were gorgeous.
during the summer i was able to work setting up stages and sound for a sound company. we did some country and rock festivals in oklahoma, minnesota, illinois and texas. it was great travelling around with my friends, building and tearing down stages, listening to bands like Heart, Poison, or Dwight Yoakum. the people who attend these festivals were the greatest. drunk people are always great to be around.
in october, my wife and i decided to take our two kids and visit our friends in italy. we had a wonderful time living in our tuscan villa. our kids are tremendous travellers, they make me proud. we ended our european trip by backpacking through greece and turkey. it was a great. istanbul will have to be revisited.
